Telefónica O2 Czech Republic has prepared even more advantageous roaming services for its customers. From July 1, 2008, the operator is reducing the prices of data bundles and SMS messages sent from abroad with the My Europe SMS service. Customers who are frequent travellers that need to send SMS messages often can now do so from more countries; that is, from all European Union countries, as well as Norway, Iceland, and Lichtenstein.

“For customers who travel abroad, we are following up the recent reductions of the prices of SMS messages and data connections from Telefónica S.A. with a new roaming offer. For a maximum price of CZK 0.05 per 1 kB, customers can use the bundle to transfer data while outside of the Czech Republic. We are thus offering the most favorably-priced data roaming on the market. In addition to providing customers with reduced rates, the My Europe SMS service will also enable them  to send messages from all EU countries,” says Jan Karas, Marketing Director for the Residential Segment of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic.

Price reduction of data bundles
The new roaming packages offer customers savings of more than 60% in comparison with the original prices. (, With the 50 MB data bundle, customer will save CZK 240 (without VAT). The changes are effective for both prepaid and postpaid packages. The packages benefit is also one price, no matter in which country customer is or which operator is using abroad.
